Tsarap Valley is in
Lahaul and Spiti District of
Himachal Pradesh. It is a narrow valley to the south-east of Zanskar region. Tsarap Valley meets with the Stod Valley in the north-west, at
Padum, the administrative center of
Zanskar region. The valley is an ideal base for trekking, but the trekking is difficult since the terrain is rugged. River Yunan flows north from the Bara Lacha Pass to the Tsarap Valley. There are a number of famous monasteries near the valley.
