Tripura Engineering College is the only degree level engineering college in
Tripura that provides technical education to eligible candidates of the state and the region. Established in 1965, it is one of the five degree level engineering colleges in the north-eastern part of the country. Technical education is provided in the fields of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering.
All basic infrastructural facilities are there to conduct the under graduate courses satisfactorily. The college has a well stocked library, computer facilities, workshop, and laboratories relevant to the courses of study. One hostel is being run mainly for students hailing from outside the state. The students are allowed to participate in co-curricular activities such as games and sports, debates, quiz, cultural-functions, essay competition, drama competition. A training and placement cell functions in the college. Campus interview is arranged for pre-final and final-year students.
