Tripura Bhairavi Ghat in
Varanasi is a sacred spot for South Indian pilgrims particularly from
Karnataka and
Tamil Nadu. It derives its name from Tripura Bhairavi, the fifth great cosmic power of the Hindu pantheon, whose shrine can be seen here. Also found is the shrine of Varahi, one among the nine mother-goddesses.
