Trimulgherry Cantonment

Trimulgherry Cantonment, located at Secunderabad, has three interesting spots worth visiting.

First one is the Trimulgherry Fort built in 1867. It once housed barracks, arsenals, stables, mews, mess houses and military offices. There is a moat surrounding the outer wall, measuring over 3 miles in circumference. Today the fort has been transformed in to a military hospital.

The Holy Trinity Church (1848) was once patronized by British regiments, which were housed here. This magnificent structure is noted for its stained glass windows and steeples.

The third site of interest is a grim prison of Victorian times. It is no longer used for detention but stands as a testimony to the bygone years.
