Illustrating the tribal life of
Maharashtra, Tribal Museum at
Pune is managed by the Tribal Research and Training Institute. It unfolds the art, culture and day-to-day life of Wagdheo, Bahiram, Danteswari and Marai tribes of Sahyadri and Gondwana region.
Traditional wash paintings, masks, basketry, images of deities, semi dioramic representation of tribal ecology and environment and musical instruments are the highlight among the displays.
Timings: 10:30 hrs to 17:30 hrs. Closed on Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays and all government holidays.
