The tomb of Catarina-a-Piro is an interesting feature of the
Chapel of Our Lady of Rosary in
Old Goa.
Catarina-a-Piro was the first European woman to set foot in Goa. This beautifully carved tomb set in the wall of the church is influenced by Manueline style architecture. It is also decorated artistically with carved miniature pillars.
