Tokhu Emong is a harvest festival of
Lotha Tribe. It generally falls on the first week of November every year, and lasts for 9 days. Tokhu Emong is also a festival of thanksgiving, sharing and reconciliation. The most impressive aspect of this festival is that past rancor is forgiven and new ties and bonds of closer intimacy are formed. Special food and drinks are prepared on this occasion. Community songs, dances, feast fun and frolic are the major accompaniments of this festival.
