Toberimala

Toberimala is an ideal tourist place situated about 14 km east of Ambalavayal in Wayanad District, near the tea estate of Harrison Malayalam Ltd. Here the main attraction is a west-facing rock shelter with a prominent overhanging roof. It is situated about two kilometers from the estate office and can be accessed only on foot. This shelter with about 84 carved motifs including some thin linear engravings and abstract figures inscribed on its rough grained ceiling attracts visitors in large numbers. From Toberimala, it is possible to get a good view of Edakkalmala where Edakkal Caves are situated.
