Thunchan Memorial Research Center is located at
Tirur in
Malappuram District,
Kerala. It is a cultural and research center established in honor of the most popular poet and cultural catalyst in the history of the
Malayalam language,
Thunchath Ezhuthachan. The center is recognized by the Calicut University and has research facilities for studies in Malayalam and
Sanskrit literature. The center also has a library with an excellent collection of classical works in Sanskrit,
Hindi and the
Dravidian Languages.
Tirur has a railway station on the Mangalore-Chennai rail line and is connected to major cities and towns. Calicut Airport is the nearest airport.
