Thrikkakara

Thrikkakara is a village located in Ernakulam District, Kerala. It is about 15 km away from the heart of Kochi. The main attraction is the Thrikkakara Temple holding Lord Vamana (the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu) as the presiding deity. International School of Photonics and the Cochin University of Science and Technology are located here. Thrikkakara is connected to Ernakulam by road. Private buses operate frequently from Kakkanad and Ernakulam town. Convenient railway stations are Ernakulam Town Railway Station (10 km to the south) and Aluva Railway Station (10 km to the north). Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery is about 25 km from here.
