Thrikannapuram Shiva Temple

Shiva Temple is a divine spot located at Thrikannapuram near Thirumala in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. Lord Shiva is the presiding deity. The main feature of this exquisite temple is that one can offer Vavubali for the departed souls. The devotees take a dip in the river nearby and make offerings to the souls of the dear departed as a part of the ritual. Separate shrines are devoted to Lord Ganesh, Nagaraja and Mantramoorthi in the temple complex. Mahashivratri, celebrated here amidst much pomp and splendor, attracts a large number of people. Trivandrum International Airport(12 km) and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station(5 km) are the nearest access points.
