Chamundeswari Temple is a 500 year old Devi temple located at Thozhuvancode, a quite residential area in
Thiruvananthapuram. Thozhuvancode is around 3 km from
Sasthamangalam and 9 km from
East Fort.
The presiding deity is Goddess Chamundeswari, who killed the great demon Mahishasura. Other deities worshiped here are Karinkali, Mohanayakshi, Ganesh, Nagas, Thampuran and Hanuman. The main festival celebrated is the Pongal Festival, which falls in the Malayalam month of Makaram.
