Built in 1553, Thozhugai Medai Pallivayal is a mosque located near Thevoorani Karai, in
Ilayangudi,
Tamil Nadu. The present structure was erected during 1816. It has a unique inner prayer hall made out of white stones and a madrasa hall. The madrasa hall, situated on the right side, is used to conduct Juma Ath meeting.
Ilayangudi is 25 km from Karaikudi and 70 km Madurai. Karaikudi Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
