Thopputhurai

Thopputhurai is a town in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu. It is bounded by Kariyapattinam in the west, Kallimodu in the north and Agastyampalli in the south. The ancient port town of Nagapattinam is 54 km towards north.

The picnic spot of Vedaranyam is only a short drive from here. Point Calimere Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary is the nearest attraction.

Thopputhurai is accessible from Tiruchirapalli Airport and Nagappattinam Railway Station. Vedaranyam Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
