Thonde Monastery is set along the foot of the hill at Thonde in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It lies around 7 km from
Karsha. The gompa houses the image of Shakyamuni
Buddha and other statues. The ancient murals and other arts of the monastery are awe-inspiring.
For local transport, taxis and jeeps are available from Padum and Zangla.
