Thomshasa is located in North Sikkim District of Sikkim. It lies near the Indo-China border, along the eastern bank of the Sebozung Chhu.

Mangan, the district headquarters, is 36 km south-west of Thomshasa.

Nearest airport and railway station are Civil Enclave Bagdogra and Darjeeling Railway Station.
