The Thirumoozhikkalam temple is situated near
Aluva in
Ernakulam District of
Kerala. The temple is believed to be built by Lakshman,
Lord Ram’s brother.
The deity of this temple is Lord Thirumoozhikkalathaan. The deity is also known by the titles of Appan and Sri Sukthinatha perumal. There is a separate shrine for Goddess Bhagavati Amman. The distinctive feature of this temple is that no music instrument is played during the time of puja (ritual worship).
