Thikkotti Lighthouse

Constructed in 1847, Thikkotti Lighthouse is situated at Moodadi, a costal village near Quilandy in Kozhikode District. It was built after a shipwreck, the remains of which can still be seen here.

The lighthouse, around 34 m in height, overlooks Velliyamkallu, the rock much dreaded by mariners. It is an ideal place to find a delightful combination of seashore wonders. Different species of migratory birds are also seen around the tower.

Moodadi is situated around 30 km from Kozhikode Railway Station.
