Theeyadiappar Temple is situated on the southern bank of the river Kudamuruti at Melaittirukkattuppalli,
Thanjavur District. Occupying an area of about one acre, the temple was part of an old fort. It has 3 prakarams and the major deities are Theeyadiappar and Vaarkonda Mulaiyammai. Inscriptions from the Chola, Pandya and Vijayanagar periods are found here. The main festival is the annual Bhrammotsavam celebrated in the month of Pankuni (March-April).The temple is reached by traveling 8 km north of
