The Spastic Society of Northern India (SSNI) is a well established organization in
New Delhi. It was started in 1978 as a small school for helping those children suffering from cerebral palsy.
The society aims to educate and train the children with cerebral palsy. A special school for children functions under the control of the society. Vocational training and help for finding suitable jobs are given to talented students. Rehabilitation, communication and speech therapy, counseling, parent training and support programs at home are some of the activities undertaken by the society.
Certificate and diploma courses are conducted for special educators, basic developmental therapists and community rehabilitators.
