Mumbai, the Samaritans is a non-profit organization that serves mentally and emotionally disturbed adults. Its out patients clinic offers counselling for people suffering from substance abuse and persons with different disorders. Group and individual counselling are given. The day care center of the Samaritans looks after the people who need advanced attention. They are taught day-to-day living skills here. The Samaritans has a suicide prevention hotline service which provides counselling through telephone for the people who are at critical situation. All services are free of charge.
