Started in 1989, the Saath is a public charitable organization which serves the urban slums and rural areas of
Ahmedabad,
Gujarat. In the regional language Gujarati, the word Saath means together, co-operation, a collective or support. The trust is near Prerana Tirth Dehrasar at
Jodhpur in Ahmedabad, offering services in the areas of health, education, relief and rehabilitation and rural and urban area development. The Saath has an outpatient dispensary, mother and child care programs, growth monitoring programs and tuberculosis control programs. It conducts pre-school classes and classes for non school going children and supplementary classes to increase learning and retention capacities of weak children. Vocational trainings are given for poor women.
