The Ooviyaa, also known by the name Tanjore Gallery, founded in June 1999, is an amalgamation of people dedicated for the revival and popularization of the centuries old
Tanjore Paintings and other traditional south Indian art forms, especially those which have been left unattended due to lack of adequate support. Guided by a group of professional artists from
Thanjavur, it is also a one stop destination for procuring authentic Tanjore paintings. Apart from their own masterpiece Tanjore works, the artists of the gallery take part in researches about the existing Tanjore painting and the restoration of ancient works.
Paintings created on canvas and wooden panels are provided upon request. The registered office of the Ooviyaa is at Tirupur in Coimbatore, and it has branches in all parts of the country.
