The George Foundation (TGF), a
Bangalore based non-profit organization commenced its operations in 1995. The main objective is to alleviate poverty, promote environmental health, and strengthen democratic institutions and values in developing countries. To successfully implement the objective, they initiated several projects such as Project Shanti bhavan, Project lead free, Healthcare projects, Women's empowerment and community healthcare projects. Tillany Fine Arts Museum and Gallery to promote talented and upcoming artists and artisans, Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media (IIJNM) to promote media studies and centers for studies in emerging critical issues have also been established.
