The Easel is located at Nungambakkam High Road,
Chennai. Founded in November 1994 by the artist Sharmila Mohandas, this foremost art gallery has a wide variety of abstract and contemporary art, and organizes 10-day exhibitions at least twice a month. The main feature of the gallery is its artistically designed spacious interiors, 2000 sq ft in area. The halls are decorated with paintings and arched windows framed in teak wood. Magnificent pillars add to the beauty of the gallery.
