The Bangalore Race Course is set amidst 85 acres of greenery in the heart of
Bangalore. Initially meant as a summer racing center, The Bangalore Race Course now has racing events throughout the year from May to June and November to March. The oval shaped, right handed Bangalore race track, approximately 1950 m with four sharp curves and gradients, is considered a challenging one. The speed and endurance of the horses and the expertise of the jockeys are put to severe test on this track, making a win on this track a rare achievement. The limited space is well assigned to provide stabling for over 1000 horses, three training tracks, an equine swimming pool, walking rings, training schools, a veterinary hospital and an amateur riding school.
