Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), established in 1956, is located within the Thapar Technology Campus (TTC) in
Patiala.
This Deemed University offers undergraduate programs leading to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree and postgraduate programs leading to Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (M Tech), Master of Science (M Sc), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and Doctor of Science (D Sc) degrees.
Also, industry oriented and practice based Master's degree programs in various disciplines are offered in collaboration with Technical Teacher's Training Institute (TTTI), Chandigarh. The institute has established some schools, namely, School of Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry, School of Management and Social Sciences, School of Mathematics and Computer Applications and School of Physics and Material Sciences.
