Thangsing is situated eight km from
Dzongri in West Sikkim District. It lies at an elevation of about 3,800 m, on the Samiti Lake trek route. Thangsing is surrounded by forests of rhododendron and meadows. The region commands good views of the Kanchenjunga, Pandim and Kabri. Nearby interesting spots are Tsokha Village,
Goechala and Yuksom. Trekking and mountaineering are arranged here. Base camps are offered.
