Thanet Villa is situated at Ayarpata in
Nainital. It offers accommodation in luxury suites with bathrooms. The villa has its own running spring water, a library and a dining hall with attached kitchen. Meditation and yoga can be done. Indoor games (chess, scrabble and carom) and outdoor sports including badminton, soft ball cricket, football and basketball can be played. Bonfires are lit in the evening. Pony riding is the recreational activity.
One can see a variety of birds, flying foxes, rabbits and monkeys around the villa. Also, the area is covered with pine, oak and deodar trees.
Behind the villa is the Gurney House, former residence of Colonel Jim Corbett (a famous hunter and naturalist). The nearest railhead is at Kathgodam, 35 km from Nainital.
