Thali Temple, situated at
Perinthalmanna, is an important pilgrim center in
Malappuram. It is dedicated to one of the forms of Goddess
Durga. Dating back to the 14th century, the temple is a fine example of the total integration that exists between wood and laterite. Thousands of devotees visit here during the annual Pooram festival celebrated in March or April.
The temple is located about 3 km west of Angadipuram on the way to Malappuram from Perinthalmanna. The nearest airport is at Kozhikode, 36 km from Perinthalmanna. The nearest railway station is at Tirur, 44 km away.
