Teli tribe is a scheduled caste found in the states of
Chhattisgarh and
Orissa. They inhabit areas in
Kanker District,
Bastar District and
Sambalpur District.
The community members are also known by the name 'oilman'. Their traditional occupation is procurement of oil through pressing of oil seeds. They also engage in minor business and cultivation. Teli Tribe follows the traditions of Hindus.
