Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), a deemed university, is located in
Mumbai.
The institute offers Ph D and M Phil courses. It also conducts diploma and certificate programs. Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, Certificate Course in Research Methodology, Certificate in Social Work, and Personnel Management and Industrial Relations are some of them.
TISS organizes research programs and conducts short-term courses. An independent structure of the institute, Social Work Education and Practice Cell operate as a direct outcome of the project on curricular development for social work education given to the institute by UGC (University Grants Commission).
