A division of Tata Steel Sports Foundation, the Tata Football Academy is a modern residential training institute located at
Jamshedpur in
Jharkhand.
This academy is modeled after the internationally acclaimed Sao Paulo Club, Brazil. It was envisaged in 1983 and established in 1987. The goal of the academy is to select, foster and prepare potential footballers and archers, from all over the country, in the most scientific way with the sole aim of improving the standard of Indian soccer and archery.
The academy houses a multi gymnasium, swimming pool, kitchen, dining room, conference hall, medical unit and recreational room.
