Tasgaon is a town in the
Sangli District of Western
Maharashtra. Being in a drought belt, this town has the history of success as one among the highest producer of grapes in the country. Tasgaon has 30,000 acres under grape cultivation which employs more than 40,000 people. Exports to Europe and Gulf countries testify the demand of the grapes and the importance of the town.
