Tarpa Dance

Tarpa Dance is a tribal dance of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli tribals. This dance is held on moonlit nights. With the musical accompaniment of a wind instrument named Tarpa, the dancers encircle the ‘Tarpakar’ and they dance past mid night. The dance exemplifies the co-operation of the villagers as they join hands and sway in circles.
