Tarapeeth Temple is a major Shaktipeeth located at Babadham in Deoghar District. Folklore has it that a saint called Bamakhepa worshipped the goddess Bhadrakali here. This temple, on the banks of a river, houses a rare idol of Tara in its inner shrine. Pilgrims of the Baba Baidyanath Temple usually arrive here for worship.
