Tamreswari Temple is one of the oldest
Shakti worship centers situated about 10 km from
Sadiya, in
Lakhimpur District of
Assam. It was once a flourishing center of Tantric worship. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Tamreswari, also referred as Ugra Tara.
Tamreswari Temple, now in a dilapidated state, stands in the over-grown jungle.
