Established in 1943 by Raja Sir Annamalai Chettiar, Tamil Isai Sangam is a
Chennai based cultural organization. The sangam offers valuable support to artists to promote Tamil music. Apart from its regular activities, it conducts music festivals every year in March. Music competitions are organized every year in September, with an objective to promote the Tamil music among the students.
Devaram Class, a one year program about ragas, is conducted and certificates are awarded for successful students. Training in musical instruments is also offered.
Tamil Isai Sangam also has several branches in India.
