Tamasin

Tamasin, an attractive picnic spot, is situated 26 km north-east of Chatra. Tamasin literally means ‘darkness prevails,’ and as the name indicates, it is surrounded by dense forest consisting of huge trees. This feature makes the area dark even in day time.

Among the landmarks are a big reservoir and a beautiful waterfall. Besides, an image of Goddess Bhagvati can be seen here.

Tamasin is accessible via Kolhaiya village.
