Swayam Sambhulingeswara Swamy Temple lies in
Mella Cheruvu in
Nalgonda District and it is about 68 km from
Khammam. Built by the
Kakatiyas, the temple has a white lingam of about 2 m in height and 0.34 m in radius. Local people believe that this lingam grows and for every 0.305 m growth, a vermilion line is drawn. One can see six lines marked with vermilion.
