Swami Pranavananda Ashram is situated in
Kolli Hills, in
Namakkal District, of
Tamil Nadu. The ashram is about 400 km from
Chennai. The ashram is situated far away from human habitations. The nearest village is about 3 km away behind a hill. Owing to its location the ashram provides an ideal setting for meditation offering a total peace and harmony with Nature.
Swami Pranavananda Ashram is surrounded with places of religious importance - Sendamangalam, where the Samadhi (tomb) of Swayamprakash Brahmendra Avadutta Swamigal and one of the few temples dedicated to
Lord Dattatreya. Nerur is a small village on the banks of the
Cauvery River where the Samadhi of Sadashiva Bramendra Avadutta Swamigal is located.
The Ashram runs a medical centre and is planning for a free adult education program for poor people.
