Suvarnamukhi Hills

Located inside the Bannerghatta National Park, the picturesque Suvarnamukhi Hills stretch out to a huge rock. The beautiful Suvarnamukhi stream meanders through these hills. At the foot of the hill, the famous Champaka Dhama Swamy temple, built in the Dravidian style of architecture, belonging to the Hoysala age is at the foot of this hillock. The temple enshrines an image of Lord Vishnu with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi.

Other attractions include a small shrine dedicated to Lord Narasimha and two km away is the Suvarnamukhi pond. The water is believed to have curative powers.

The nearest city is Bangalore, about 22 km from Bannerghatta. The best time to visit is from September to June.
