Situated in the peaceful forest area of Rajaji National Park, Sureswari Devi Temple is a temple dedicated to Goddess
Durga. It is believed that Sureswar (Lord
Indra) meditated here and experienced the live presence of the goddess. Pilgrims visit this temple in large numbers and offer prayer with Indian Gooseberry (amla). This ritual is being practiced even today.
Sureswari Devi Temple is situated on Surkut hill, 2 km inside the Ranipur forest check post. The temple is 10 km from Haridwar, which is connected to all major parts of the country by well-maintained roads.
