Surat Railway Station

Surat Railway Station is under the administrative control of Western Railways. It is on the Vadodara-Valsad rail route. The railway station was built in 1860. Ahmedabad-Mumbai Shatabdi Express, Karnavati Express, Paschim Express, Surat-Bandra Express, Gujarat Express and Mumbai-Porbandar Saurashtra Express pass through this station.

Advance Railway Ticketing System is installed at the station to issue unreserved tickets in advance. Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) is also available. Going north, Kosamba Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Udhna Junction Railway Station is to the south of Surat.

Sardar Patel Museum, Textile Market and the Dutch Garden are nearby sites to visit.

Opposite the railway station is Hotel Yuvraj, a 3 star hotel catering to the needs of the travelers. Surat Bus Station is very near. The nearest international airport is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (278 km.)
