Sumbar is a small village located in Ramban taluk on the western end of
Doda District,
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 8 km east of Batli and 18 km from Dharamkund. Situated at an altitude of about 5,239 ft above sea level, it is 66 km from
Jammu.
Sumbar is well connected with the neighboring towns of Shidaul in the west, Mangat in the north,
Digdaul in the east and
Tangar in the south. The adjoining forest area surrounding Sumbar is noted for its natural beauty.
The convenient railhead to Sumbar is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is managed by the Northern Railways.
