Sumbal Canal




The 35.5 km long Sumbal Canal in Jammu and Kashmir originates from the Nullah Sukhang River and flows into the Jhelum River. Mainly used for irrigation purposes, the Sumbal irrigates about 5000 acres of land in the Sonawari area. The Sumbal Canal connects the Manasbal Lake with the Jhelum River.
