Sule Bazaar at
Hampi with remains of lovely old buildings is a little away from historical
Hampi Bazaar.
This was a thriving market during the Vijaynagar period and was notorious for illicit trade in girls. This market place thus earned the name ‘sule’, which means girl-buying.
