Sujauli, situated in the extreme north of
Bahraich District close to the Indo-Nepal International border, is a picturesque town with verdant forests and scenic surroundings. Agriculture is the main livelihood of the residents.
The Dargah of Ghazi Saiyyad Salar Masud, a famous eleventh century Islamic saint and soldier, is the main attraction of the district. The annual festival (Urs) at the Dargah draws thousands of devotees from far and near. Other tourist attractions include Kailashpuri Barrage and Katarniaghat Sanctuary.
Sujauli is about 8 km from Gularia, 9 km from Dharmanpur, 10 km from Harkhapur and 19 km from Kafara. Mihinpurwa Railway Station and Amausi Airport are the nearest railway station and airport. Accommodations are available at Nishangara, Dharmanpur and Murtiha.
