Sudha is an indigenous fish trap used by the Jamatia tribe of
Tripura. It consists of a net attached to 2 pairs of crosses sticks. The fisherman lowers this net into the flowing water by holding the sticks and scopes out the fishes from the water.
The net is a rectangular mat, woven in a twilled manner from bamboo splits. The longer edges of this mat are attached to the crosses sticks. These sticks functions as a support to the structure and as a handle for holding it.
