Subramanyeswara Swamy Temple

Dedicated to Lord Muruga, Subramanyeswara Swamy Temple is located at Chevurupalem village in Krishna District. The chief idol of the temple is made in the shape of a snake. According to village tradition, a sacred snake was killed here by two brothers. They lost their sight after some days. Their vision was restored when they prayed to the lord fervently, asking forgiveness. It is believed that the Lord appeared to the village head in a dream and asked him to construct a temple. The temple attracts thousands of devotees and special pujas are offered every Sunday.

The Gudivada Junction Railway Station is about 20 km from here. The nearest airport is Vijayawada Airport.
